Little girl at the limelight

Stage is made for something great. I mean all the performers, speakers and any honorable people would step on it and it wil be their ground as they show their crafts to the audience.

What about if you’d see a child there, will it also bring you awe?

Last Sunday, The Feast entered into a new series which named ‘Happytudes.’ After Bro. Bo’s talk, people from the stage threw the balls in various colors with a different blessings (love, compassion, success, joy, etc.) written on it to the attendees and servants. Some people were rushing in front because those are ‘implied’ blessings, and I hurriedly catch it, too.

When I stepped nearby the stage, I saw one cute girl sitting on the stage with other kids and holding 6 spheres of blessings. She was so naïve and innocent that she was even giving hers to people in front of her. (I was even tempted to ask her one, even if I already got two- greedy me!hehe) In just a snap- hers was gone. She wasn’t holding anything else except for a sense of wonder, ‘Where are my spheres?’

I pitied her so what I did was I got and carried her from the stage. I was glad that she let me  cradle her a little, then I put her down on the floor. Another boy passed by and I assumed that it was her brother because he gave her one ball for getting two.

It was delightful to observe. Because the girl painted a grin on her face. I can’t help to share that cute story even after the session to those who’d listen.

I was reminded that when you give away something precious, the return will be something great, too.

For the little girl who loss her 6 blessings, she still gained 1 abundant love from his big brother and that will make sense once they grow up.;)

Beauty of God's dreams

I picture myself as the years go by. What can I see? What are the dreams before that are unfolding in front of me? Not just in front of me-but around me. Maybe, I would have mixed emotions. I would want to hold of the hands of people who inspire me and tell them how grateful I am.

I don’t know yet that in such years that I keep on planting- harvesting time will happen. I don’t know however that dreams can save me- AND IT STARTS WITH MY POWERFUL BELIEFS ABOUT ‘I.’

How many times did I tell myself to WAIT? Yes, waiting for the right time that blessings will chase after me. Honestly, I love the fact that I’m planting, coz it flexes my muscles, it expands my horizon, and it even sharpen my skills.

I feel rejuvenated now. I mean is this the new life- He’s pertaining too? I’ve been bothered for few years- and now:

‘There's hope it doesn't cost a thing to smile.
You don't have to pay to laugh.
You better thank God for that.’ – Indie Arie

How would I write something that I could express the depth of my heart? Maybe, I could introduce myself as, ‘Hi, I’m Thina - God's daughter. I’m glad to be part of a great plan- YES, just a part, and all it asks of me is my involvement in building a better world. Obviously, the visionary leaders that we have are praying for people who would outstand, let loose their inner creativity and put in into action.

Fire in faith.
Right mentors.
Humble heart.
Openness.
BIG LOVE.
Supportive friends.
Talents and potentials.
Guts and glory.
Pain and sacrifice.
Great dreams.
Abundance.

I’ve been writing since I was a child. Most all the secrets of my heart are written on my diary. Then, I had 8 diaries and journals now. I decided to take Mass Communications- not because I want to become a writer, but actually a performer. Wow! Isn’t confusing? No. I believe that my core group is more on COMMUNICATIONS. I disregarded some of my other dreams before like becoming a lawyer or psychologist. Now, I'm committed on the original calling- WRITING. But when I’m not writing, I’m teaching and if not, I’m singing and if not, I’m connecting and talking or I’m reading. So, call me multi-talented? Yes, I am. And I’m thankful for that. God loves me that when he bestows such blessings- I was awake and embraced it.

And, I don’t want to waste it. I know, I’m walking and working it out. I trust my Lord in my heart as he whispers in my heart what I should do, what I should need.

Last Saturday- I went to Jesus encounter. I remembered accepting Him in the Youth camp, 5 years ago and I'm going to do it again. I know I lost His Spirit in the years in between- Spirit of worry, fear and laziness sometimes reigned in my heart. I have to regain what was lost.

During the conversion part, receiving of Holy Spirit and anointing of oil.
The room was filled with the Holy Spirit. I was melted. My knees were trembling. The poundings of my heart sound like a drum rolling. (I even wanted to say- give me more beat yoh!)

Jesus Christ embraced my heart tightly. He spoke into my heart as he said, ‘Your sacrifices are great. You suffer because of love- love for yourself, for your family, for your friends, for your community.’

'Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.' (John 15:13)

I cried in the depths of my heart. Offering all my sacrifices into His hands because I knew, he was there to redeem me.

The worship and prayer continued- Maybe a Godly and gifted painter can paint the beauty of the place. I remembered saying, ‘Use me as your will be done.’

I’m so grateful with the outcome of my surrendering, because He’s in me. Before, it’s easy to say 'Yes' to sin. But now, I declare that I’ll continue to 'sin no more.'

His dream to see me accepting Him again, fin'lly came true. I'm like an empty vessel ready to be filled with His unfailing love and grace.

May all my dreams come true- this is also the prayer of every prayerful people in the Feast, including Bro. Bo Sanchez. I’m glad I’m serving in Media Ministry. I’m thankful for the inspiring people at The Feast. I’m happy because JESUS LIVES EVERYWHERE- waiting to be accepted and become a friend and brother.

He is all I need.

Drawing contest of Awesome kids

Feast PICC held a drawing contest yesterday for kids, teens and adults, with a theme: 'Nativity in my heart.' As a part of registration, I was excited to those who participated on that contest. During the registration, every kids were geared up with their drawing materials such as oil pastel, crayola, pencils, pentel pen, etc. There were few who forgot it, but nonetheless, other participants were able to lend it to them. I saw how these kids looked calm along with their parents. We're giving them a little instructions on the do's and don'ts. Some children were telling me that it was their first time to do it so, so apparently it gave me a sense of wonder, 'Maybe this kid would give all his/her best. God bless to him/her.' Then registration was closed at exactly 11am, Bro. Mark finally gave the drawing mechanics and they were given an ample 2 hours time to showcase their masterpiece. Actually the kids were divided into 2 rooms depending on their ages.
I was sometimes going to each of the rooms and as I was observing them, they were truly focus on their craft. I was glad to see how unique these children were. Some were advance when it comes to using a certain technique of drawing. Some were indeed a beginner but eager to unleash his/her creativity. Bro. Mark was excited on the coloring part as he gasped. I for one was excited, too.

On the otherhand, I went to another room to observe other kids as well. Oh my, they were so little but their imagination were big. They weren't aware yet on how their drawings can bless the people who could see it. They were letting their hands give life to the paper, and upon seeing it. I imagined how God draw us into his mind until his mighty hands created us.

Joy was simply the term to describe the children's room as some kids started to put the magnificent colors, funky designs, and heartwarming taglines on their one's lifeless oslo paper. And we waited for minutes, until one kid was finished and the other kids would follow. After that, we'd look upon their drawings and we'd congratulate and give them 'kudos' for a job well done. The media team was so accommodating too that the kids felt that they were indeed appreciated. Afterwards, Bro. Dave would take a picture of this kid along with his drawing. Then, we went to another room to exhibit first their outstanding work.

Some kids weren't done yet with their work, so other kids who were done went first with their parents or with their friends to play along or maybe to have fun in telling their wonderful experience. As the other kids were busy, the media team was also actively sharing the future and possibilities that the kids might have. Like some may become a painter, others might become an advertiser, some might become a world's renowned 'cartoonist.' Like what Sis. Apple have said,' At a young and tender age, they've started to use the 10 hour rule.'

This might be a tiresome day, but I was glad to be a part of this wonderful event. Hopefully, their drawings would be an inspiration of what Christmas will be, because the one who made it was truly the one who understands the real meaning of it.

May God bless us all.=)

Perfect love story

Love is patient. Everytime I fall short on my sins, you patiently look into my heart until I ask for forgiveness, repent and to sin no more; love is kind. When you gave me a very kind family and friends who love and support me even if I’m sometimes unloving; It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Yours is confident, humble and gentle just like a voice of my favorite student who always made my day; It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Whenever I feel like I’m going to burst into anger and would dishonor my brother and sister, I’d just pray instead and pour to you my negative outburst. You asked me to shake it off, until I become better, normal and healthy again. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. The bible and its scripture is the best tool to defeat the devil. It is your words that wash away all fears and worries. I’m grateful for the Feast and my brothers and sisters there; It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Thank you for the mantle of your protection against my enemies, and also for asking me to surrender my future and dreams into your hand, because you have a greater plan for my life and it’s to make me prosperous with the use of my talents and capabilities. And lastly some of my friends gave a remark that I’m always doing my best and that is my gift to you.

Love never fails. Your love for me soars high. It strengthens me and sends me to a beautiful place wherein your love would be shown and appeared. :)

Praising hands

A tall English man was swaying his body while lifting both his hands on the air as the music played with a combination of the singers melting voices and full band. If someone may look at him behind, others may think that he’s crazy. For crying out loud, who would do it? What adds up to a funny thing is that this man was doing it along with his wife. Oh come on! Both of them look crazy. Indeed, crazy and rocking in worshipping the one who’s crazy for them too. So, the next time you would look at them, for sure you’d do the same. Or perhaps you’d do more than what they do and give.

Miracles- Bo Sanchez

Written: 10-03-10
The Feast PICC

I just realized that Bro. Bo Sanchez is very passionate in preaching.

According to him, faith-filled action is necessary for creating miracles. God won’t do for you what you can do for yourself.

There are 2 Ingredients of miracles:

1.    Ask       2. Act

He asked every participant to picture in our mind what we want. We just have to believe that God is with us.
Hebrews 11:1-3 (Hall of Faith)
Faith in Action
1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for.
3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
He again asked each participant to believe with these words: “I’m a factory of miracles. But sometimes it’s sleepy or lazy. I need to produce it in a whole capacity.”
He also made his son, Francis as an example for what he’s pointing out.
He also told us about Anointing of Ease by Joel Osteen ( this needs more research) and told us about DIVINE INTERRUPTIONS.
He also told us that people come and go, which I truly believe. That’s why while the world is still not fading; I’d show my love for the people loving me.
Another thing that he pointed out was about the World’s renowned singers for being effortless. Example: Michael Jordan’s slum dunk wherein he coined the term, “in the zone.” Wherein there’s a flow of abundance and miracles surrounding him.
How happy and blessed Feast made me, my family and my close friends. I will always include in my prayer, that I’ll make more disciples for LOJ (Light of Jesus Family).

You Keep on Pursuing Me

I was watching my footsteps before getting into the Happiest place on Earth, Feast. My eyes looked directly on the trees' green leaves while the calm wind touched my face. Then, I heard a voice deep within me. I ceased on focusing on my surroundings and decided to listen to my heart. Your gentle voice whispered, " I would pursue you forever. I'll never stop loving you. I'm yours and your mine."Those words melted me for I truly believe on that promise. Hence, I continue walking gracefully, sharing eagerly that promise especially to those who deeply believe.=)

Season of Fall (Learnings from Bro. Bo's talk)

-      Season of reckoning.
-      What you’ve planted in your teens, you will harvest it on your fall.

-      The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
(Galatians 6:8)

-      It’s as simple as people will reap what they sow.

-      My body is a garden. I should be taking care of it. I should eat healthy food, like fruits and vegetables.

-      He told a sad story about a man, who abandoned his wife and kids 20 years ago. When he decided to return to them, he’s trying his best to reconcile but it’s difficult and painful.

17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.
  (1 Timothy 6:17-19)

-      He also added that we shouldn’t depend on the blessings but on the BLESSER instead. The One who richly supplies with all things to enjoy. God has given all things to enjoy, that’s why we must enjoy the harvest of blessings.

“I will tell the kindnesses of the Lord. Proclaim the Blesser.” (Isaiah 63:7)

God pampered Bro. Bo and so to us. There’s a sad reality that some people around us won’t like it when we are blessed. We shouldn’t impose our choice to anyone. A real friend is happy when you’re blessed. If they’re unhappy, then we should change our friends.

How to enjoy life?

1.    Savor Life- Don’t rush

Greek time:
a.    Chrono- Chronological time (8:45)
b.    Kairos- special now, moment you’re aware, expand for being aware.

2.    Simplify pleasures- There’s a difference between being rich and feeling rich. Feeling rich is an emotional state that you’re very blessed financially, emotionally, socially and physically.

3.    Strengthen your relationship- Learn how to understand.

4.    Increase your gratitude

5.    Share your generosity

Magnify your 10%- Bro. Bo Sanchez

Bro. Bo’s topic is about tithing. He has his personal opinion about it. He said, that Catholics weren’t thought to tithe, it’s always to tip. It’s a horrible teaching not to tithe, for Is a law of generosity. He also taught us that we should be specific especially in Tithing. We should declare: GIVE 10% of YOUR INCOME TO THE LORD. To give until it hurts. He also compared how Born Again Churches were built all over the world, simply because their members prioritize tithing.

He also said that he and his accountant were facing problems in Feast.

Bad news: They don’t have the millions yet to build 1,000 Feasts all over the world.

Good news: They have a millions and millions and millions to build 1,000 Feasts.

Another Bad news: All money is still on our pockets.

4 Blessings of tithing

1.     Habit- habit of giving.
      -  Tithing should be done regularly, so that blessings will come regularly.

2.     Happiness- It helps to provide poor of poor people needs.

3.     Holiness- Greed destroys us.
-       You gain freedom from materialism.
-       Set apart something for God.
4.     Hunger- Calling for God.

He also cited that a person who has scarcity mindset can’t tithe. He challenged us with this question: When there’s nothing left? Can we give?

Other important questions:

1.     Where do I bring my tithe?
Answer: I bring the full amount of tithes to the temple.
-       It also increases my abundance by prioritizing tithing.
-       Giving alms is different from tithing.
2.     Should I give based on my net or gross?
Answer: Should I be blessed based on my net or gross.

I decide to tithe even if it hurts.
