The best thing there is that me and the kid has the same birthday! :)))
Making sure that it'll turn out to be the most memorable celebration ever for the kid.;)
I learn to wait, to move on my turn, to let other fulfill their dreams, to be a friend, to make someone as my friend, to learn from others, and to share what I have, to plant my dreams and to learn in the best way possible.

The Hunger games' excerpt
I'm reading once more this epic book, The hunger games by Suzanne Collins after seeing its trailer before watching 2 MMFF's (Metro Manila Film Festival's) entries. I'm excited to watch this as it hits the local cinemas. I'm just keeping my finger cross that the adaptation and execution will be alike to the book- not all but in most part. Here's an excerpt from the movie's heroine:

| Jennifer Lawrence plays the role of Katniss Everdeen |
"Taking the kids from our districts, forcing them to kill one
another while we watch — this is the Capitol’s way of reminding
us how totally we are at their mercy. How little chance we
would stand of surviving another rebellion.
Whatever words they use, the real message is clear. “Look how we take your children and sacrifice them and there’s
nothing you can do. If you lift a finger, we will destroy every
last one of you. Just as we did in District Thirteen.”

Let the children READ
Awhile ago, my bestfriend, Meanne treated me for a lunch as her post bday celebration with me. While waiting for her, I’m glad with rich realizations and visions that National bookstore gave me. (Hail to the owner of that store named Socorro Ramos or commonly known as Nanay Coring.) I saw different children’s books with its lowest price of 65pesos. I needed a dose of inspiration before creating a children’s literature. I want to buy as many books as possible (read some of it, make a review, write a summary then give it to random Filipino children). Come to think of it? How many children are no read and write? It’s not a shocking news anyway that Philippines belongs to a 3rd world country. On the otherhand, how many middle class parents decided to buy them toys instead of short storybooks (Accept me for being a geek- but correction a beautiful geek, ok?) I’m talking to parents of 7-11 year old children- who by that age can read any reading materials depending on their level. I believe that letting the children explore their wildest imagination is one of the best gifts that parents can give them. I suddenly recall a storytelling competition from the kids of Lampara Books Philippines during the 31st Manila International Bookfair that made me fall in love with that organization- meet them here.
I shared to my bestfriend about the children's books and its cause. Like for every one book that'll be sold, 1p will be given to the National bookstore foundation. That discussion led us on the numerous things that we want to do- yes, our active mind is aware of social change. But social change is an intricate and complex thing- I believe in the power of doing it in a small group, then finding few people who’d be more aware of such cause. Whatever it is.
I want to give books. I want to share the power of reading books.
I want to give books. I want to share the power of reading books.
Then, she shared to me a bookay-Ukay (a little vintage styled bookstore where you can dig in the cheapest or 2nd hand books.) nearby UP Diliman. I’m excited to go there. I promised myself not to indulge myself with material things this season (because I’m wishing that others might give me some..hehe), except for buying books and printing out my short stories. That’ll be the best thing I can do for myself now, I’ve done my part with my family, friends, ministries and others but of course I have to do something good for myself too.
I have to use my core gift properly. Believe me, it produces magic! :)
Pass it on, because the language of heaven can be best heard by giving what you have all the way. ;)
There maybe one, two or 3 kids- who's ready to join Dora in exploring the world.

Drawing contest of Awesome kids
Feast PICC held a drawing contest yesterday for kids, teens and adults, with a theme: 'Nativity in my heart.' As a part of registration, I was excited to those who participated on that contest. During the registration, every kids were geared up with their drawing materials such as oil pastel, crayola, pencils, pentel pen, etc. There were few who forgot it, but nonetheless, other participants were able to lend it to them. I saw how these kids looked calm along with their parents. We're giving them a little instructions on the do's and don'ts. Some children were telling me that it was their first time to do it so, so apparently it gave me a sense of wonder, 'Maybe this kid would give all his/her best. God bless to him/her.' Then registration was closed at exactly 11am, Bro. Mark finally gave the drawing mechanics and they were given an ample 2 hours time to showcase their masterpiece. Actually the kids were divided into 2 rooms depending on their ages.
I was sometimes going to each of the rooms and as I was observing them, they were truly focus on their craft. I was glad to see how unique these children were. Some were advance when it comes to using a certain technique of drawing. Some were indeed a beginner but eager to unleash his/her creativity. Bro. Mark was excited on the coloring part as he gasped. I for one was excited, too.
On the otherhand, I went to another room to observe other kids as well. Oh my, they were so little but their imagination were big. They weren't aware yet on how their drawings can bless the people who could see it. They were letting their hands give life to the paper, and upon seeing it. I imagined how God draw us into his mind until his mighty hands created us.
Joy was simply the term to describe the children's room as some kids started to put the magnificent colors, funky designs, and heartwarming taglines on their one's lifeless oslo paper. And we waited for minutes, until one kid was finished and the other kids would follow. After that, we'd look upon their drawings and we'd congratulate and give them 'kudos' for a job well done. The media team was so accommodating too that the kids felt that they were indeed appreciated. Afterwards, Bro. Dave would take a picture of this kid along with his drawing. Then, we went to another room to exhibit first their outstanding work.
Some kids weren't done yet with their work, so other kids who were done went first with their parents or with their friends to play along or maybe to have fun in telling their wonderful experience. As the other kids were busy, the media team was also actively sharing the future and possibilities that the kids might have. Like some may become a painter, others might become an advertiser, some might become a world's renowned 'cartoonist.' Like what Sis. Apple have said,' At a young and tender age, they've started to use the 10 hour rule.'
This might be a tiresome day, but I was glad to be a part of this wonderful event. Hopefully, their drawings would be an inspiration of what Christmas will be, because the one who made it was truly the one who understands the real meaning of it.
May God bless us all.=)

Perfect love story
Love is patient. Everytime I fall short on my sins, you patiently look into my heart until I ask for forgiveness, repent and to sin no more; love is kind. When you gave me a very kind family and friends who love and support me even if I’m sometimes unloving; It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Yours is confident, humble and gentle just like a voice of my favorite student who always made my day; It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Whenever I feel like I’m going to burst into anger and would dishonor my brother and sister, I’d just pray instead and pour to you my negative outburst. You asked me to shake it off, until I become better, normal and healthy again. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. The bible and its scripture is the best tool to defeat the devil. It is your words that wash away all fears and worries. I’m grateful for the Feast and my brothers and sisters there; It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Thank you for the mantle of your protection against my enemies, and also for asking me to surrender my future and dreams into your hand, because you have a greater plan for my life and it’s to make me prosperous with the use of my talents and capabilities. And lastly some of my friends gave a remark that I’m always doing my best and that is my gift to you.
Love never fails. Your love for me soars high. It strengthens me and sends me to a beautiful place wherein your love would be shown and appeared. :)
(1 Corinthians 13:4-8)

Journey To The Past
Heart, don't fail me now!
Courage, don't desert me!
Don't turnback
Now that we're here
People always say
Life is full of choices
No one ever mentions fear!
Or how a road can seem so long
How the world can seem so vast
Courage see me through
Heart I'm trusting you
On this journey...to the past
Somewhere down this road
I know someone's waiting
Years of dreams
Just can't be wrong
Arms will open wide
I'll be safe and wanted
Fin'lly home where I belong
Well, starting here, my life begins
Starting now, I'm learning fast
Courage see me through
Heart I'm trusting you
On this journey...to the past
Heart don't fail me now!
Courage don't desert me!
Home, Love, Family
There was once a time
I must have had them too
Home, Love, Family
I will never be complete
Until I find you...
One step at a time
One hope, then another
Who knows where
This road may go-
Back to who i was
On to find my future
Things my heartstill
Needs to know
Yes, let this be a sign!
Let, this road be mine!
Let it lead me to my past
Courage see me through
Heart I'm trusting you
To bring me home...
At last!
At Last!
Courage, don't desert me!
Don't turnback
Now that we're here

This may seem backward. But ironically as it may seem people look at their pasts-whether ugly or beautiful one. Everyone has his/her shared story of her past. We journey backward, yet we returned at the present moment with a WONDERFUL LESSON OF YESTERDAY’S OLD SCARS.
If people would ask how my past was. I’ll tell you that it was colorful. I had a bank of stories in my mind when I was a kid. I was a combination of an active and obedient student-ask my mom about it. Haha.. Of course, I was just a normal tall kid who played with neighbors and classmates, who was scolded by my parents-btw, I’m a product of a broken family so I lived with my mom, younger sister, 2 aunts and I had a puppy crushes too. I was very close with my aunt because my mom was very close with my younger sister. But as I can see now, it doesn’t bother me much knowing in my heart that everything has a purpose. (To my fellow readers, don’t worry I won’t overshare because I’m still feeling the need to share it privately.) I met the Lord through my grandfather who kept on reminding me to thank the Lord before and after the meal; before leaving the house; for his blessings in the family and through going to the mass. His words were sometimes kind, yet sometimes fearful. Yes, he came from an Armed Forces of the Philippines. He was such a tough man who became soft because of my lola’s kindness. I awe him some of my principles and faith. He was my Father-figure, because my father left us when I was innocently 6 years old. He was a man of discipline, of action and of rules. Yet, he can’t help to use his “yantok” to discipline us. It was the pain from my childhood. When I was a kid, I’d either felt thankful and fearful of him. He would sometimes challenge me if I was really bright in the class or not and I proved him that I was. And that’s how I trust more the LORD TODAY to heal my heart from all the pains that he brought me and my family. And I will confess that there were moments in my journey to my faith that I saw the Lord as kind yet sometimes cruel. That’s why I believe in the saying be careful with your words and actions for it may make or break you.
Anyway, he may be with the Lord now. I’m praying for his soul along with my lola. He still linger in my memories. He still stays in my heart. And in the moment I could meet him again in heaven, I’ll tell him: I love you. Thank you. Forgive me.
He died, after fulfilling his dreams to have a house in Bicol. He was too far from us but not with my aunt. He left us hanging and confuse of what will life awaits us. Yes, our finances came from his pension. He left me working hard for my mom and my sister. He left without sending notices. He left us crazy.
And in the very same place where he left us, I found a home in my Divine Father’s arms. He gently asked me not to bore hatred but to understand the situation. I wrote in my journals that I should be flexible and adjustable with the situation. I obeyed him. But mind you there were times that I failed to do so. He blessed me with faith in myself, family and work. Now, I’m working as a Video English teacher for Koreans. I experienced moving from one place to another thrice in a year, but in the kindness of the Lord, I can pay now our rent.
I’m maintaining my friendship with my old and new friends. I’m learning to prioritize things. I’m just a normal woman with dreams and talents. I’m also at times acting on impulse and craziness. I am who I am because of the learning that I lock in my heart and with God's mercy using His people. No more questions of, "What if lolo is still alive, how would our life w be?"

In relation to this, when I was 10 years old, this song Journey to the past became my favorite. I was a fan of Leah Salonga and the late-Aaliyah. I kept on singing this with my cassette tape and radio. It has a melody and lyrics that made me realize how journey can be tough, yet exciting. I had always dream of singing this with a big audience- BIG DREAMS ARE ALWAYS GREAT!=))
Looking at life as a whole and as a detailed one can make us think that LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL AND MASTERPIECE. LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT YET A BYPRODUCT OF YOUR PAST LEARNINGS-as the saying goes and as I edit it.

When Searching Harry Met Happy Sally
"Everyone seems busy today." gasped a handsome and slendered figure Harry to a stranger named Ludy. Then Ludy answered unhesitantly, "Yes, they're putting up an enrichment training for the kids."
Along the children's genuine laughter, the nervousness written on their parents faces and the staffs' hands on guidance to the kids, there goes Sally, who was outstanding among the crowd. She puts a happy face in dealing with the parents and the kids. She was extending her lovely arms to a young boy who initially asked her to play with him. Hers was a world of explosive laughter and cranky yet clever jokes. Though, she can be sometimes considered as an ADHD, most importantly she found passion in what she's doing.
Then Harry elbowed and whispered to Ludy. " I want to know that girl with a beautiful smile." Then Ludy said to him, " I think you find happiness in my bestfriend's personality. Come with me, I'll let you know each other." Then Harry's eyes sparkled as he approach Sally's busy yet down-to-earth lifestyle.

Awesome published in Feast bulletin
I'm so happy to see my article about Awesome kids ministry
published last March 13, 2011 in Feast Bulletin.
I dreamt of it too. And I slowly got it. Next time, I want to make
more articles to share the good news about People of God.
I also want to publish there interesting stories and testimonies.
Surely there are so many adventures to uncover, especially those who journey
towards God and Victory.
I love to do it, lemme' be an instrument for telling it to the world.
Of course, I also my shared story. Someday, I want the world to know about it.
Especially those who would find an interest to listen. *& *
