Round 1: Focus on the Good 

Today's Feast is empowering especially when Bro. Bo Sanchez declared: God sees you as beautiful, beloved and blessed. God said, that's my boy/girl/kid! He is delighted and proud to see us being and doing good, thus the love that He shows heal us and we'll stop the self-rejection. How lovely, How Great His love is! :)

Every one has a Trojan horse inside us. There’s something in us that open us the gates of temptation. Once we fail into our sin, we tend to hate ourselves more. Behind every sin we commit is a cry for love.

This is it: The pleasure of sin is the pirated version of the pleasure of being loved.

The greatest weapon of devil against God’s people is Self-rejection. If somebody doesn’t like, appreciate or forgive him/herself that’ll open to many temptations.

It is hard work to love, forgive and appreciate yourself.

3 Symptoms of our Trojan horse

1.        1.  We don’t love ourselves.

2.      2. Our relationships are dysfunctional.

3.      3. We worship a rejecting God.

We must believe that we are totally, completely and perfectly loved by our Daddy God.

The Feast PICC

I just realized that Bro. Bo Sanchez is very passionate in preaching.

According to him, faith-filled action is necessary for creating miracles. God won’t do for you what you can do for yourself.

There are 2 Ingredients of miracles:

1.    Ask       2. Act

He asked every participant to picture in our mind what we want. We just have to believe that God is with us.

Faith in Action

 ¹ Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. ² This is what the ancients were commended for.

 ³ By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

He again asked each participant to believe with these words: “I’m a factory of miracles. But sometimes it’s sleepy or lazy. I need to produce it in a whole capacity.”

He also made his son, Francis as an example for what he’s pointing out.

He also told us about Anointing of Ease by Joel Osteen ( this needs more research) and told us about DIVINE INTERRUPTIONS.

He also told us that people come and go, which I truly believe. That’s why while the world is still not fading; I’d show my love for the people loving me.

Another thing that he pointed out was about the World’s renowned singers for being effortless. Example: Michael Jordan’s slum dunk wherein he coined the term, “in the zone.” Wherein there’s a flow of abundance and miracles surrounding him.

How happy and blessed Feast made me, my family and my close friends. I will always include in my prayer, that I’ll make more disciples for LOJ (Light of Jesus Family).

Season of Fall (Learnings from Bro. Bo's talk)

-      Season of reckoning.

-      What you’ve planted in your teens, you will harvest it on your fall.

-      The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

(Galatians 6:8)

-      It’s as simple as people will reap what they sow.

-      My body is a garden. I should be taking care of it. I should eat healthy food, like fruits and vegetables.

-      He told a sad story about a man, who abandoned his wife and kids 20 years ago. When he decided to return to them, he’s trying his best to reconcile but it’s difficult and painful.

    ¹⁷ Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. ¹⁸ Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. ¹⁹ In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

-      He also added that we shouldn’t depend on the blessings but on the BLESSER instead. The One who richly supplies with all things to enjoy. God has given all things to enjoy, that’s why we must enjoy the harvest of blessings.

“I will tell the kindnesses of the Lord. Proclaim the Blesser.” (Isaiah 63:7)

God pampered Bro. Bo and so to us. There’s a sad reality that some people around us won’t like it when we are blessed. We shouldn’t impose our choice to anyone. A real friend is happy when you’re blessed. If they’re unhappy, then we should change our friends.

How to enjoy life?

1.    Savor Life- Don’t rush

Greek time:

a.    Chrono- Chronological time (8:45)

b.    Kairos- special now, moment you’re aware, expand for being aware.

2.    Simplify pleasures- There’s a difference between being rich and feeling rich. Feeling rich is an emotional state that you’re very blessed financially, emotionally, socially and physically.

3.    Strengthen your relationship- Learn how to understand.

4.    Increase your gratitude

5.    Share your generosity

Magnify your 10%- Bro. Bo Sanchez

Bro. Bo’s topic is about tithing. He has his personal opinion about it. He said, that Catholics weren’t thought to tithe, it’s always to tip. It’s a horrible teaching not to tithe, for Is a law of generosity. He also taught us that we should be specific especially in Tithing. We should declare: GIVE 10% of YOUR INCOME TO THE LORD. To give until it hurts. He also compared how Born Again Churches were built all over the world, simply because their members prioritize tithing.

He also said that he and his accountant were facing problems in Feast.

Bad news: They don’t have the millions yet to build 1,000 Feasts all over the world.

Good news: They have a millions and millions and millions to build 1,000 Feasts.

Another Bad news: All money is still on our pockets.

4 Blessings of tithing

1.     Habit- habit of giving.

      -  Tithing should be done regularly, so that blessings will come regularly.

2.     Happiness- It helps to provide poor of poor people needs.

3.     Holiness- Greed destroys us.

-       You gain freedom from materialism.

-       Set apart something for God.

4.     Hunger- Calling for God.

He also cited that a person who has scarcity mindset can’t tithe. He challenged us with this question: When there’s nothing left? Can we give?

Other important questions:

1.     Where do I bring my tithe?

Answer: I bring the full amount of tithes to the temple.

-       It also increases my abundance by prioritizing tithing.

-       Giving alms is different from tithing.

2.     Should I give based on my net or gross?

Answer: Should I be blessed based on my net or gross.

I decide to tithe even if it hurts.

KCON 2010

Last Saturday (November 27), I attended Kerygma Conference (KCON) which was led by a popular preacher, Bro. Bo. Sanchez at PICC. It’s the 30^th anniversary of Light of Jesus (LOJ) community and 20^th anniversary of Kerygma magazine. This year, KCON with its theme: RESTORATION had 7 different streams ( Youth Restoration, Singles Restoration, Marriage Restoration, Faith Restoration, Inner healing Restoration, Happy celebates Restoration and Single parent Restoration). I was engrossed with the fact that I even based my blog from restoration. You know, I started blogging last September of this year, I’m such an amateur blogger, but I wanted to express myself in writing that I entitled it as “restoredtalent.”  Anyway, I attended the Single Restoration stream and I was grateful for my Feast friend and ex-officemate, Diana who lends me some money to attend this wonderful event. I was also happy to see there Nay Marj and Ate Lei, 2 of my sisters from S.F.C. (Singles For Christ) community and Cara, my ex-officemate too. I assure myself that this will help me and other singles in the town to understand more how to enjoy singleness blissfully.

I haven’t seen the first talk because, I came in late. But I was glad that before stepped inside the plenary hall, I heard Ms. Rissa Kawpeng Singson’s voice and giving her talk about: WAITING FOR THE ONE. Though I’ve heard it plenty of times, honestly, it’s not overrated to me because; it’s one of the truths in my life. As I sat at the left of the stage and I was looking for Diana (she told me that she reserved a seat for me.) I decided to stay on my seat and will look for Diana after Ms. Rissa’a talk. I heard Ms. Rissa testifying how she waited for so many years for the man God has prepared for her. This line strucked me, when she said that she started to give her life in service for the Lord, when she turned 16 years old, after her long awaited JS Prom and she never stopped. She told us that she met different men in her life, but it never worked out the way she wanted. She’s a tough woman, and nobody dare to ask her out, maybe only few. There were times when she would impatiently rebuke the Lord for not giving her what she prayed for. Then at the age of 33 years old, she met another man and thought that he’s the one, ironically that’s the same age when Jesus died. They enjoyed each other’s company but it never lasted too. And finally she uttered, “This is it. I think I’m called for single blessedness.” There was also a time, when she asked her 2 sisters this question: How would you know if he’s the one? Then each of them answered in a different time and place: You know and you know and you know and you know.

 But she’s confused, for the words that came out from her mind was: I don’t know.

That’s it, she’s not ready maybe.

To cut the long story short. (as I quoted her favorite line on her talk)

 One day, her very determined girl friend asked her to go on a blind date. At first, she resisted but along the way, she never thought that this REJECTED STUFFED BLIND DATE would become a way for her to meet her husband named Randy. That’s it, she met him at the age of 36 years old and got married 2 years after. She has 2 fantastic kids and she owes it for enjoying her singleness to the blast. After meeting Randy and got married to him, she told us that waiting too long is also same with a 5 second delay. I just apprehend now how important it is to be patient and faithful to what God has given us.

There were 3 things that she pointed us from her talk:

1.     Don’t run ahead of God because of impatience or anxiety.

2.     God is generous to give what we need at the moment.

3.     Consult God when making your plans; don’t just give Him His deadlines.

She also shared few bible verses such as story of David’s sin; story of Samuel.. I love the bible verses..: )

Then she ended the talk with an inspirational song together with the Music ministry’s powerful voices and vibrant instruments. Ms. Rissa left me with a copious heart and mind.
